Oh, How He Loves.
Satan Wants to Control Your:
Mood
Method
Mission
…If he can control these things, he will take away your ability to be used by God.
We are Christians because of God’s love for us- not by anything we have done or could do. God’s whole desire in life is for us. Love is not something God does, it is what He is.
The Son Prevails.
[A part of my newest poem!… Video to come!]
Death, I cannot cheat.
My flesh fails,
But from the parting of the storm,
the SON prevails.
“Oh death, where is your victory?”
“Oh death, where is your sting?”
The wind of salvation gives new life to my sails.

Romans 8:39No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:55O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
Psalm 16:2I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”
Psalm 51:10Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
2 Corinthians 12:9My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.
Love, Jesus
Come to me, my child
Come to me.
Come to me, I see your heart
I see what you’ve started
I see the plan in you
that I’ve imparted.
My child,
the dreams in your heart
that once were wild
but now feel stifled
I will never part them from you.
For they are still in my will.
{The cloud of doubt that shadows the road ahead is a drought}
//Do not follow in it.
There is power in my plans!
And my child,
because there is power in me-
there is power in you.
For I dwell and move and live in
and through you.
Love, your Daddy in Heaven
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Beauty In The Broken
I wrote this one beginning with the idea that people are not perfect, although we try and fail.. But what started as a poem about perfection turned into a poem about God’s love for broken people and the beauty that is found in that. Hope you like it and are blessed!

God is Beautiful!
Love.
Fast forward a little less than a week and I find out that my grandpa is in the hospital and slowly dying of his life-long battle of heart disease. Even as the strong man he has always been, his human strength is no match for death. This man is the same man that couldn’t live a day without telling a polish joke, the man who let me have his old, beloved flannels, the man that I’ve never imagined my life without.
With the words he once told me, I will never forget, “Rachael, your smile will get you far in life”. And with those words, I will continue on, living a love greater than I ever have before. Living love in tears and with a smile on my face- being all that Christ has called me to be.. Being love to a world of loss.
It’s amazing to me that the more we suffer, the more we know deep compassion and love.
What gives me peace is knowing that my sweet grandpa Lyle will be in Heaven, but what if that wasn’t the case? I cannot help but wonder the vast pain that would cause God. And not just my grandpa, but for all unbelievers- to know that the very people he created, choose to live eternally in Hell, separated from Him. It blows my mind to think that at the level I am able to love is only a fraction of how much He Loves.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us [Romans 5:8]
